Big Mac Fakeaway


Disclaimer I’ve never had a real Big Mac, I’m more of quarter pounder or chicken legend gal, but fancied giving a homemade Big Mac a go!

For the burgers:

- 400g beef mince
- Garlic pepper
- Salt
-  Worcestershire sauce

Mix all together, then made in to patties (I use a burger press for this), I then cook in a frying pan for 15 mins making sure you flip them every few mins.

Big Mac sauce:

- 3tbsp mayo (I used low fat)
- 1tbsp ketchup
- 1tbsp American mustard
- 1tsp garlic granules
- 1/2tsp paprika & onion granules
- Tbsp chopped pickles

Toppings:

- cheese slices
- Shredded lettuce
- Finely diced onion

I combined all the ingredients in a bowl and just let to one side whilst the burgers cooked.

Assembling the burgers:

Brioche Bun, I just sliced the top of the bun in half to make a third layer of bun like you get on Big Macs

Add some of the Big Mac sauce to the bottom layer, then add some of the diced onions and lettuce, slice of cheese, then add the beef patty and some pickles.

Add the middle bun, top with more sauce, onions, lettuce, beef patty, more sauce and then the top bun!
