Ingredients:

  • 1 kg mutton chops,washed and clean
  • 2 tablespoons Kashmiri masala
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhania powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon crushed green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon jeera seeds
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 3 whole pepper corns
  • 2 whole green chillies
  • 1/2 tin whole tomatoes blended
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Method:

  • 1. Place instant pot on sauté, add in your ghee,whole spices,curry leaves and sliced onions. Mix. When onions get soft add in chops with ginger and garlic paste with the crushed green chillies. Mix well allow to cook for 5 minutes.


  • 2. Press the meat button and then set for 15 minutes with 1/4 cup water. Seal pot. After 15 minutes release pressure.


  • 3. Add in all your spices,sugar,blended and diced tomatoes. Place on meat function for another 10 minutes. Release pressure. I placed on sauté for 5 minutes again to get the gravy thicker.
  • Garnish with fresh dhania and green chillies.


  • You could definitely cook this on stovetop but times will vary and you may need to add extra liquid.
